On Saturday 16 June 2007 the first Indian Companies Amsterdam Area Cricket Tournament was held. The event, organized by the City of Amsterdam and its regional partners, saw nine teams from Indian companies (Tata, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and Patni) competing at the VRA Cricketclub in Amstelveen.

For the last twenty years, the Concertgebouw has housed the Robeco Summer Concerts; top class concerts at a reduced price. Originally begun to fill in the musical quiet season, it has since developed into a full concert season. Concertgebouw, 1 July-31 August 2007.
