Area-based approach to organised crime in the centre of Amsterdam

Central Government, Amsterdam municipal authorities, police and Public Prosecution Service sign covenantCentral Government has agreed to extend far-reaching cooperation to the Mayor of Amsterdam as part of an effort to renew the fight against organised crime in the centre of Amsterdam. The Emergo agreement was signed by the Minister of Justice Hirsch Ballin and Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Ter Horst, Secretary of State for Finance De Jager, Mayor of Amsterdam Job Cohen, chairman of the urban district council Iping, Chief Public Prosecutor De Wit and chief of police Welten.
